Strike at Ports of Europe

Dear Customer,

We inform you that since the end of last week there have been work stoppages in strategic European ports, mainly in Rotterdam and Antwerp, as a result of strikes called by dockworkers and pilots.

These demonstrations have affected loading and unloading operations in Rotterdam, a significant reduction in the operational flow in Antwerp and the relocation of several vessels to other terminals. In addition, the airline industry in Belgium has announced a 24-hour strike, which could temporarily impact cargo transportation by air.

In recent days, operations in Rotterdam have partially resumed following a court decision suspending the strike until Friday, October 17, establishing a truce period for further negotiations. However, the possibility remains that the stoppages may resume if an agreement between the parties involved is not reached.

CEA Logistic Group, together with our local agents, is constantly monitoring the situation in order to minimize any operational impact. Even though the effects are expected to be punctual, there could be delays in some routes within Europe.

We thank you for your understanding and trust. We will continue to inform you in a timely manner of any new developments or changes that may influence the normal development of logistics operations.

CEA Logistic Group.
